Bell Canada, a $19B telecommunications company, needed to deliver a superior customer experience to online shoppers of new mobile phones.

Bell chose Flex and New Toronto Group to help them create an online competitive advantage through the creation of a new online Solution Advisor application. We believe this to be one of the largest public-facing Flex applications today.

On July 4, 2006, the Solution Advisor application was selected as Adobe's "Site of the Day".

NTG was chosen by Chrysler to help them develop a new auto maintenance application to be used by service technicians. The wiTech Diagnostic Application improves how Chrysler automotive service technicians diagnose and fix vehicle problems. The company's previous application required technicians to page through multiple screens to execute even a simple task. wiTech, developed with Flex 3 and Adobe AIR, makes it easier than ever for technicians to navigate graphical information on automotive systems, quickly diagnose problems, identify software updates, and then upload new software to vehicles. NTG also developed a robust eLearning Solution for this application that was translated into seven different languages.

The wiTech application earned a spot as an Adobe MAX 2008 Award finalist for the Rich Internet Application Award category.

Evrium, an online promotional software company, develops and markets the highly popular website software for displaying and managing image portfolios on-line. Fluid Galleries' powerful customization and management tools have made it the preferred choice for photographers around the globe.

Evrium recognized that Adobe Flex presented a development platform that would allow the next version of its Fluid Galleries software to secure a leadership position by introducing a rich client experience and unparalleled customization. NTG was chosen by Evrium in 2009 to help overhaul Fluid Galleries 2 and rewrite the functionality within the Flex environment. The result is an application that offers photographers unparalleled freedom to create professional portfolio websites without needing to know Flash, HTML or any other web development languages. Simply by pointing, clicking and dragging, photographers can create, and brand, a truly unique web experience for their customers to view their work.

The Flex platform allowed NTG to extend the existing component set to introduce a truly unique user experience while minimizing the time and cost associated with creating specialized software.

NTG has been working with Natural Resources Canada, a Federal government ministry, on an ambitious project to port a complex Cobol based application to the Web. This application would allow the Canadian federal government to monitor energy usage within government buildings.

Some of the new functionality includes bilingual language capabilities and the display of measurements in either imperial or metric units. Since the new application was being developed using Flex and ColdFusion, NTG was enlisted to provide training and application development services to NRCan thus ensuring quality and accelerating the delivery of this very high profile project.

Sunnybrook chose NTG to help them architect and build an extremely important application for use by doctors and administrators in scheduling and tracking patient care.

The E-Sheet application, built in Adobe Flex, allows Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre to coordinate, schedule and track patient care in their Oncology program, one of the largest in North America. The E-Sheet replaces a paper-based system where physicians would write their orders, and coordinators would continually process those orders, such as coordinating and scheduling chemotherapy sessions, lab tests, medical imaging exams, and follow up appointments.

Use.com, one of the fastest-growing image hosting sites on the Internet, provides users with a quick and easy way to upload, edit, share and link photos.

NTG was chosen to help Use.com build a Flex-based bulk image uploader. Previously, Use.com users were limited to uploading two images at a time. As the popularity of the site sky rocketed, there was a need to enable users to select multiple images for quick and easy uploading. By using Flex, NTG was able to seamlessly integrate the new uploader into Use.com's image hosting site.

When Use.com had an additional requirement to enable image editing, they again turned to NTG for help in creating Flex based Image Editor that would allow users to add speech bubbles, resize, rotate and crop their photos.

NTG was hired by Adobe Systems to help one of their customers, WeightWatchers.com, develop a sophisticated Flex-based menu selection system for their customers.

Over the course of the 5 month project, NTG provided architectural assistance and training services to WeightWatchers personnel in New York City.
